About Emma

Hello there, and welcome! My name is Emma, I am so happy you are here!

I approach my role as a counsellor from a collaborative, warm, safe, and non-judgmental space. I value authenticity in the therapeutic relationship and deeply honour the individuality each client brings into the room. I often describe therapy as a shared process: you bring your story, and I bring tools, perspective, empathy, and genuine human connection.

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, like they dont know what to do next. Maybe anxiety/depression is running the show. Maybe you’re exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Maybe you’re navigating ADHD, autism, burnout, relationship challenges, trauma, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself. Or maybe you are just wanting to be a better version of you. Whatever brings you here, my goal is to create a space where you don’t have to pretend. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to show up exactly as you are.

I work with individuals aged 13 and older (younger on a case-by-case basis) navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, neurodiversity (ADHD, ASD, etc.), life transitions, gender and sexuality exploration, self-esteem, emotion regulation, trauma, chronic illness and grief. I continue to expand my knowledge in areas such as eating disorders, OCD, and self-compassion. I also have a special interest in supporting late-diagnosed neurodivergent adults as they navigate self-understanding.

My approach draws on evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Together, these approaches support clients in building practical emotion regulation skills, strengthening relationships, developing resilience in the face of hardship, and moving toward meaningful, values-aligned change.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, but you do not have to figure things out alone. I strive to create a warm, safe, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences openly and at your own pace. If you are looking for a therapist who will listen deeply and work alongside you toward meaningful change, I would be honoured to support you and and be witness to your beautiful story. It would be a privilege to support you as we explore your experiences, uncover your strengths, and move toward what feels possible in your life.

I am currently a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) in the process of getting registered as a Provisional Psychologist.
