About Brooke

Hello! My name is Brooke, and I am a practicum student currently working towards
a Master of Education degree in School and Counselling Psychology.

My graduate training focuses on integrating research into practice and developing skills to provide empathic, ethical, and evidence-based psychological services to children, youth, young adults, and families.

My professional and personal interests include working with children, youth, and families
experiencing PANDAS/PANS. This area is deeply meaningful to me, as it directly impacted my childhood. I believe in the transformative role that interdisciplinary care can have for a child and families navigating PANDAS/PANS, and I feel honoured and excited to continue learning and working in this area.

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Interpersonal Development, from the University of British Columbia in 2025. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to support children and families at the BC Children’s Hospital in both emergency and inpatient settings. This experience developed and strengthened my skill set in working with families during highly stressful and emotional situations.

My therapeutic style is genuine, empathic, and outgoing. I draw from evidence-based
modalities, which include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, and
trauma-informed care. I prioritize building strong therapeutic and collaborative relationships
with my clients and their families, as I believe this is fundamental to a successful therapy
experience.
