About Nav

Hi and welcome! My name is Navneet, but feel free to call me Nav! I am a practicum student currently in the process of completing my Master of Counselling degree, and I’m excited to be on this journey of learning, growing, and connecting with clients.

My professional and personal interests include working with children, youth, and adolescents, including individuals who are neurodivergent or experiencing developmental, emotional, behavioural, or adjustment challenges. I also welcome the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

I strongly believe counselling should be a safe, welcoming, and affirming space where my clients feel heard, respected, and accepted. My approach is client-centred, strength-based, and collaborative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed practices. I particularly strive to provide culturally responsive care that respects each of my clients’ unique experiences, values, and identity.

Before beginning my graduate studies, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from MacEwan University. My experience working with children, youth, and families from diverse backgrounds in home, school, and community settings has also strengthened my passion for creating supportive and meaningful therapeutic relationships with my clients and their families.

My goal is to meet you where you are, work alongside you through the challenges you’re facing, and support you in creating changes that feel meaningful for you.
