Are you feeling stuck? Perhaps you already have an inkling of what you need to do, but somehow, you just don’t know. Be gentle with yourself, you’ve come to the right place. I am an Occupational Therapist with a mental health specialization. I have completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy, both from the University of Alberta. I have 15 years of experience working directly with children and adults struggling with various mental health and substance use challenges. I have worked with clients in crisis, inpatient, and community mental health settings.
As an Occupational Therapist, I consider myself a “performance specialist.” I believe the evolution of humanity is driven by doing. Enabling people to perform their value -oriented roles and occupations is essential in the path of pursing meaning. I will help you create meaningful and sustainable changes, improve your function through a holistic understanding of your internal experiences and your environment. I am here to help you become more aware and be more intentional about how to engage with the life you want to live.
I am committed to client centered care: I start with the belief that you are the expert in your life. You can expect me to meet you with warmth, curiosity, compassion, authenticity, and humor. Through integrating several therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to CBT, DBT, ACT, MOHO, and PEO, I can help you set goals and implement practical strategies then guide you toward value-oriented roles and meaningful occupations.
Outside of work, my other meaningful roles include being a mother, a wife, a friend, and a volunteer for my community (not necessary in that order). I also enjoy studying anthropology, and I’m learning to ski in the winter and quilt in the summer.
