Life is tricky and even harder when you feel like you’ve got to navigate tough situations alone. My goal as a counsellor is to help you feel supported, provide a safe space for you to share and explore your own story and hopefully with time, rewrite certain parts of that story!
Before we can re-create our own narrative, we need to revisit what happened, experience the vast array of emotions that came with that experience; honour everything that experience gave to us; and grieve what we may have lost along the way.
I work from an eclectic therapeutic perspective and include bits and pieces from several theoretical orientations including (but not limited to) attachment theory, narrative therapy, CBT, and solution-focused therapy. More than anything, I want to create a trusting relationship where you can show up authentically and be yourself – knowing you will be totally and completely accepted as such.
I work with individual clients 13 years and older (no couples); and work with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship challenges, trauma, self-esteem, setting boundaries, emotional support, relationship with food, mood disorders, and stress management. I work with people both virtually and in person.
